Salon Du Chocolat – CH

Fashion design from Simon Wellfare using 60% chocolate together with Cioccolateria Nobile, Switzerland.

Simon Wellfare together with Willi Schmutz & Martin Schwarz from Nobile Cioccolateria, along side other top Swiss chocolatiers presented and displayed what can be achieved when mixing fashion and chocolate together, at Salon du Chocolat in Switzerland.

Simon Wellfare commented “this was challenging, but a fun time working with chocolate, as for one when the clothing was cold the chocolate set hard, so it needed to be warmed up again using a heater or even a hair dryer for quick applications of Swarovski stones to the dress and for allowing our model to get the clothing on without everything cracking. Then when the chocolate was too warm from the lighting and body heat it started melting and our model (Saule Jefferies) needed to be careful walking as the surface became slippery from the chocolate dripping on the floor. It was an absolute pleasure working together with Willi Schmutz & Martin Schwarz from Cioccolateria Nobile in showing what our combined talents were cable of achieving and we were all thankful for the patience and dedication of Saule who modelled the outfit for us.”
