Laurent Dupré has released tracks on Laus Music (London) and iTech Soundsystem (Saint Petersburg) which have been played by the likes of Laurent Garnier & Danny Howells.
Melbourne designer, world traveller and deep house DJ/producer, Laurent Dupré, was first inspired to start dj’ing after hearing Etienne de Crécy’s track, Prix Choc, and then seeing Ben Watt play at the infamous Lazy Dog in Notting Hill, East London. Since then, has played alongside highly respected international names such as FUNK D’VOID, CHARLES WEBSTER, PHONIQUE, ANDRE LODEMANN, RIPPERTON, DJUMA SOUNDSYSTEM and VINCE WATSON. He has dj’d in Russia (he was the first Australian dj to play in the Russian Far Eastern capital, Vladivostok), Ukraine (Kazantip), Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic, Iceland (the first Australian dj to play in Reykjavik), Spain and Italy.
He has released tracks on Laus Music (London) and iTech Soundsystem (Saint Petersburg) which have been played by the likes of Laurent Garnier & Danny Howells.
As of late, Dupré has been focusing his musical output within the downtempo/chillout genre. In late April 2016, his ‘Gulf of Siam’ ep (out on Maison Dupré), will be available for download on iTunes, featuring the languid, sun-drenched tracks: Angthon, Adrift in Surat Thani and Sihanoukville night monsoon. The tracks are underpinned by South East Asian exotica with hypnotic, buddhist temple chants, tropical jungle sounds and deep calming melodies. If you loved Moby’s seminal track, ‘Porcelain’, then you’ll definitely enjoy the ‘Gulf of Siam’ ep. The track, Angthon, has already been selected by ANANTARA RESORTS, Abu Dhabi, for use within their hotel and spa.
